Here's Wil and Co. seriously making a mess of some obviously Black Sabbath inspired riffs. The point here is that this all happened at the greatest live show/dive bar to ever exist in the History of Houston, Texas ... EMOS!! ... truly ... it holds a sacred place in my heart, even though it's long since been shut down. Hell ... I was frequenting the same building when it was known as "Around the World," ... being only a ripe 15 years of age and all ... And at that time, the grift was much more towards Gay/Dance/Electronica ... but it was still so so fun. What with the pet Cats walking around among the drunken attendees and what not ... :LMAO!: Mastadon, in this vid, just carries on the flame as far as I'm concerned. And may Juan rest in peace! He's the guy that first turned me on to "Around the World" ... the same building/bar that would later become my beloved *EMOS* !!! ... (!!!!!!!) ... The greatest Houston rock bar to ever even think about existing. (Much Love!) Shows that come to mind: 1. Impotent Sea Snakes - with the live triple X sex acts going on onstage. (so sick!) 2. Sugartooth - when they caught everyone off gaurd with their unbeliviably HUGe and RIFF'd out stoner tracks (myself and Pinkerton included). 3. Mastadon: when they made EMo'S history by showing that being a Black Sabbath rip off band can still be seen as COOL as HeLL! ... YaY!
