And THEN my oldest brother collapses, he's also on suicide watch, and has been unconscious for the last hour. What's worse now is that Amanda is freaking out. She had been the one of the girls who'd actually been calm, and strong, but now that her boyfriend is unconscious, she was losing it. She was constantly crying, and Mike had taken it as his responsibility to comfort her. I put my head in my hands as the doctor came out once more; from the room that was now Joe's AND Kevin's. This was the fourth time he came out here, so he didnt even bother asking if we were here for neither Kevin nor Joe. "Kevin has had a minor heart attack. He's fine now, but he is also unconscious. He does not have a heart error, but the pressure of today had such a huge impact that it reached his heart.""So he wont have any heart errors when he wakes up?" Dad asked, I had finally looked up, and my eyes were wide with shock."No, but he might have some problems with his nerves, and can easily get upset. So its really important that all of you are very careful of what you say and do when you're around him" the doctor said."Do you have any news about Joe?" Mr. Peterson asked. "Nothing has changed. He's still out of danger, but hes still unconscious, and he doesn't respond." He said, and left us."Denise, if you want to, we can take the kids with us home, so you two can be here" Mrs. Peterson said, and I shot up. "I am not leaving!" "Nicholas" my dad said tired, but I ignored him."No dad, I am NOT going home! My brothers might die, and you expect me to go home and pretend like it's nothing?! No way!! I'm staying here! I want to be here in case anything happens!" I yelled, and my parents didn't have any energy left to argue with me. "Fine, you can take Frankie with you home, Nick can stay here" mom said, and I sat down again, relieved that I got my way. Mike's POV (the second oldest of the Peterson clan, remember him?)"Wi-Will you go inside with me?" Amanda asked me through sobs, and I looked at her; trying to read in her eyes if it was a good idea or not. When all I saw was sadness, I didn't care."Yes, come on" I said, and helped her off the chair shed been sitting in. We walked to the door, and she hesitated a little before entering the room. We went past Joe's bed, which he was lying lifeless in, and over to Kevin's bed.There was a chair in the far corner of the room, so I went to sit there, while Amanda sat in the chair beside Kevin's bed.I couldn't hear what she was saying, mostly because of the sobbing, but also because I didn't sit close enough. But I can tell that she put her heart into it; she had a vulnerable look on her face. You see, I'm good at reading people. Amanda thinks she's going to lose Kevin, just like she lost everyone else in her family. Nick is trying his hardest to keep himself strong, but there's not a long time before he's going to break down too. Emma hasn't said a word, just because she has nothing to say, which is weird. But the thing is: she has no clue what to say in a situation like this. I KNOW Chris didn't come because he cant stand seeing someone he's so close to hurt, and that just shows that hes a big coward, not facing his problems. And my two younger brothers? Well, they're just trying to keep everyone happy. That's their job right now, they're extremely good at calming people down, and that comes in handy in a situation like this. Me however, I kinda know how everyones feeling, so I try to do my best out of it. Not that I always know what to do. I looked up at Amanda again, she was laying next to Kevin in his bed, and her eyes were closed. I went up to them and looked down at her. "Amanda?" I whispered "Amanda" I repeated, but she didn't answer, she had finally fallen asleep, I put the blanket that lay on the chair I'd been sitting in over her, and exited the room.
