Nov 20, 2008 - the vast majority of people don't like being completely blown away. Being partially blown away, now, people can stomach that and enjoy it. Complete annihilation requires a certain temperament that is not prevalent in society.

Nov 20, 2008 - Just trying to expand my mind here:If there is more than one path from now to the end, is there also more than one path leading 'backwards' from now to the beginning, when going into the opposite direction through the fourth dimension?

Nov 20, 2008 - So does this video support an atheist worldview or a theist worldview?

Nov 20, 2008 - Neither. It's agnostic, scientific and philosophical.

Nov 20, 2008 - You people are asking why this channel isn't more popular. Isn't it obvious? The secret government have launched a disinformation campaign to suppress these ideas - they don't want us to know how much power we really have to change things.
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - I'd be willing to call it "deist", in that it's all about there being patterns and forms across the dimensions that create the reality we observe, and there are many names people from different belief systems have given to those patterns and shapes. Have you watched "God 2.0" or "Daily Parrying"? Those are a couple of my video blogs that explore this idea some more. Thanks for writing,Rob
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Absolutely! That's what this video is describing. The only thing that's "really real" is the now we're observing from instant to instant. Everything else is probabilistic branches, both backwards and forwards in time. Which doesn't mean ANYthing can be in our spacetime's past or future, but does mean the past is more flexible than we've been traditionally led to believe. You might enjoy "Time is a Direction" or "The Fifth Dimension Isn't Magic" here on YouTube. Thanks!Rob

Nov 20, 2008 - dude this is the best YT channel and im starting to get ...like the music too,,,,,, very Zappaesque

Nov 20, 2008 - It's amazing to think about things like this. I love your philosophical outlook on everything. I am the exact same way.One question I have though...Where do coincidences and other phenomena come into this discussion? Are they connected with some other dimension or something?I have had countless experiences listening to my iPod (which is always on shuffle, by the way), or the radio, and thinking of a song I would like to hear. 10 seconds later, boom: that song comes on.Any thoughts?
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Hey, thanks! Yes, I'm a Zappa fan, he actually had quite a deep voice so a lot of the time I'm singing/talking in the same register as he did.
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Yes, this project talks about those amazing synchronicities that make us feel connected to deeper patterns across time and space. Some of the other vlog entries I've posted here where that subject comes up include "David Jay Brown and Psychedelics", "Being More Fifth-Dimensional", "Moving Dimensions and Synchromysticism", "Twisted Dimensions", "John August and The Nines", and "Jake Kotze and Mystical Numbers". Always great to know there are others out there thinking similar thoughts!Rob

Nov 20, 2008 - If I am deliberating whether I should go to work or not tomorrow and make a decision to stay home... cant that be viewed as predicting or rather projecting into the future?
linkinparkndme Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - what if this were not a hypothetical question?
bobbymapp Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Thanks for responding! I reread my question and realized that I forgot to add another part to my question. When I asked if there is more than one path leading backwards, what I meant to add was: From our perspective, is there one begining and mulitple endings; or are there multiple beginnings as well. In other words, from here there are limitless possible endings; so going backwards from here, are there multiple paths going in the opposite direction to limitless possible 'beginnings'?
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - I'm with quantum computing expert Seth Lloyd on that one - talking about the "beginning" of the universe may not be talking about the big bang, it may be talking about the first yes/no from out of the timeless quantum fabric that exists "before" the big bang - and I put "before" in quotes because by the time you're imagining that fabric you are outside of what we think of as time. This is not to say the big bang doesn't make sense as a description of the formation of our universe, it's just to
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - say there's other ways of thinking about it. So to answer your question more specifically, I suspect one of the very first yes/no patterns that would separate out our universe from the omniverse of all other possible universes would be selecting a value for gravity. Gravity, according to physicists dealing in extra dimensions, is the only force that works across all the dimensions, so since gravity is a constant for our universe it would be one of the very first things that gets "locked in".
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Absoloutely. And this is what our brains are designed to do - predict the future. If that weren't true we would all keep stepping in front of moving cars, because we were unable to predict what's about to happen. Scientific American recently published an article about those optical illusions that tend to vibrate as we stare at them... a scientific study indicates those visual hallucinations are actually being caused by our brain trying to predict the future as it processes these shapes.Rob
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Which question? That the past has multiple branches, or that we can predict which future branches are more likely to happen?
mollisk Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - One more thing. Wouldn't the thoughts from our decision-making part of our brains be part of the different branches of our future? What are our thoughts being controlled by? Because we can't help our own thoughts, unless you literally say, "Ok, I am going to think of this (like a number or something)."Basically what I'm saying is how do our thoughts come into the present?
mollisk Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - I forgot to ask one more thing, haha. :)What about deja vu?
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - Good questions. Vlogs like "Your Fifth Dimensional Self" and "We're Already Dead (But That's Okay)" deal with these issues, as does the newest one "I Know You, You Know Me". Deja vu, intuition, conscience, voices of gods and forefathers, simultaneous inspiration, it's all connected to this way of thinking. Ever hear of Hundredth Monkey Syndrome? Google that one! Thanks for writing,Rob

Nov 20, 2008 - when you said if a person could see the future does that mean we dont have free will and its all predetermined, it reminded me of something i liked that was in the matrix 2. Neo asked the question to the oracle how can i make a choice if you already know what im going to do.. and she says "your not here to make a choice because you've already made it. your here to understand why you made it.
10thdim Says:
Nov 20, 2008 - I talk about this from a different starting point in "Predicting the Future (Here Come the Aliens)". If we lived in a world where our actions could be predicted with 100% accuracy, that would certainly prove that our free will is an illusion. Personally, I don't buy it - which is why I like these quantum physics ideas of there being multiple paths both in the future and the past that connect to this constantly created "now" any of us are in at this instant. Thanks for writing,Rob
