Hull put on a fairly good display in this game at the Spotland Stadium, home of the Rochdale Hornets. It's been about 16 years since Hull last played there. This is typical of Hull's performance yesterday with them fumbling and spilling the ball. In this set Hull get a penalty and elect to take a tap and go for the line. However in the first tackle it seems like we score but we get carried back off the in-goal area and there seems like there is no backup for the Hull player who's being pushed back. Then it really does look like we have gone over to score, only for the ball to be spilled over the line, scrum Rochdale. Some say Sharpy was getting the boys to try new things in this game. I fear they are wrong and we were continuing to play one man rugby as there is no leader on the pitch willing to rally the lads and get them gelling as a team.Manu and Byrne are the men who can do this and we are really missing their commands. Shame no-one will take responsibility and become a true Hull FC hero and guide the boys to a stunning victory.Well done Hull on your win as I can't imagine where the next one will come playing this style of ruby. I'm forever black and white and oldfaithful to the end, but am now at the point where I can't realistically seeing us beating anyone in Super League. I've waited until now (over a third of the season gone) before casting my critisisum over Hull and I've defended them all the way so far, but things must now change and change very quickly or we'll be on for another Kear season with Challenge Cup games outshining the SL games, where we should be winning regardless of the fact there is no relegation.
